my rational for this one was simply: well i like sketching half naked people, but even more importantly, how can i find a way to place dumbo in here- that friendly flying elephant we all grew up with? hah, kinda a stretch here but its only a sketch. also it was inspired by an editorial i found with the oh so captivating natalia vodianova.
beautiful illustration. really envious of your drawing ability (as well as whimsy)...

ReplyDeletehaha this photo is really funny. love dumbo!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like it was fun to illustrate.
ReplyDeleteI responded to the 'bloglovin' comment on my blog but just in case:
ReplyDeleteI illustrated the bloglovin' picture, scanned it, added color in Photoshop, and then placed it in the left column as an "HTML/JavaScript" gadget.
This was the original photo:

ReplyDeletehello dear (and you are an extra special dear for mr. tellier coming on just as i began typing this)....
ReplyDeletethanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment. it really means a lot to know someone out there is reading and reaching out :)
as for your illustrations, you really do have a gift (and i say this with not a little amount of envy). what is the worst thing that could happen? build a website, continue with the amazing blog, spread the word, get a couple of initial commissions and grow. taking the plunge is the frightening bit i think. after that it all settles in and makes sense. so do it!
and i'll order one straight off the bat. i already have a favorite ;)
p.s. the photos are from a beautiful little village called woodstock in the cotswolds some 20 minutes away from oxford. the boyfriend and i took a little road trip last weekend. if you are ever over in the uk, you have to see it!
wow, it's beautiful! Dumbo was the cutest addition.
ReplyDeleteOMG, I love that you wanted to incorporate Dumbo into this. So playful and cute!
ReplyDeletei was searching for your email to message you directly, but a comment will work as well. just realized these fashion illustrations are your creations and i love them (and your blog)! i did a post on you, hope that's okay :)
